The
Shuttle Countdown Clock
Available for purchase on the
Apple
App Store!
Follow the countdown of Space Shuttle launches using the Shuttle Countdown Clock! This app accesses servers at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida to display the current Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) and the Countdown Time (CDT) of the next shuttle launch, including all built-in and unplanned Holds in the count. After launch, the Shuttle Countdown Clock displays the Mission Elapsed Time (MET).
The Shuttle Countdown Clock app also shows images from 20 different video feeds at the Kennedy Space Center, including views of the launch pads and the Space Station Processing Facility. The images are updated every 30 seconds for up to the minute views of what's going on at KSC!
Note: The Countdown Clock is only accurate after NASA starts the countdown about two days before launch. Before that, other countdown times are displayed that may be a result of testing exercises at KSC.
